Friends of Africa - Long-term volunteer for Zambia
Friends of Africa are looking for a volunteer for a project in Kitwe, Zambia, for a period of optimum 2 years. Avaialbility of 1 year would also be acceptable.
This is a building project that aims to build houses for street children who have reached the age of majority and have no where to go, as they can no longer stay in the children's shelters. The volunteering position would be a managerial type position to ensure the effective running of the project with a view to being able to hand it over to a Zambian in a few years time. The volunteer must be over 25 years of age and have a full and valid driver's licence.
The Legal Volunteer requirements for entry into Zambia are:
- Certificate of Qualification
- Police Clearance certificate
- Medical Certificate of Good Health
- At least 2 PP SIZE PHOTOS
- CV
- Photocopy of relevant pages of Passport
- Reference letter from Work or College.
