Comhlámh Courses

Comhlámh offers a range of courses designed to increase the capacity of individuals and groups to engage in development education and campaigns on issues of global justice. Comhlámh Members receive substantial discounts on the course fees. To find out how to become a Comhlámh member click here

Typical courses include:

  • Global Issues in Development- for anyone interested in learning more about development issues
  • Introduction to Development Education for those who want to get involved in raising people's awareness of global development issues.
  • Options and Issues in Development Work (one and two day courses)- for those considering work overseas in development related projects
  • Skills in Development Education-for trainers and facilitators to learn about the participatory methods used in development education.
  • Media Skills- for anyone interested in communicating more effectively with and through the media
  • Diversity Through the Arts
  • Globalisation and Trade- for anyone interested in learning more about these topics
  • Lobbying Skills- for those interested in engaging with issues at a political level

All courses employ participatory methods so that participants gain experience as well as familiarisation with the issues. Comhlamh members receive a reduced fee on all courses.

Courses vary from one-day or weekend to evening courses held over six to ten weeks.
