Coming Home Days
Comhlámh offers tailored Coming Home Days for groups of short-term volunteers on their return from overseas placements, upon request. Coming Home Days aim to create a space for returned volunteers to reflect on their experience overseas and to consider ways in which they may positively use their experiences upon return home. The courses are facilitated by returned volunteers and Comhlámh staff and the active participation of volunteers is encouraged throughout the day.

Coming Home Weekends
"Coming Home Weekends" are an enjoyable way to share experiences, meet others home from overseas; learn, socialise, network and exchange advice.
"Coming Home Weekends" are held several times each year. They are residential weekends offering an opportunity for returnees to meet, relax and have some fun while sharing tips on readjusting to the 'culture shock' of being home. The cost of the weekend is €50 inclusive.
The weekends are run by other returned development workers and are supported by Comhlámh staff. In the past 2 years nearly 120 returned development workers have attended coming home weekends and so we look forward to welcoming you on future coming home weekends this year.
Past participants have described their sentiments in one word at the end of the weekends as follows: "Energised", "Focused", "Comforted", "Supported", "Encouraged" and "Refreshed".
