Our database of opportunities has been updated to make it easier for people searching for volunteer opportunities to see which organisations are signatories to the Comhlámh Code of Good Practice. When you click 'find' on the database, any organisation that is signed up to the Code (only Irish organisations are eligible) will have a small Code of Practice logo by them.
If an organisation is signed up to the Code they are voluntarily working towards principles of good practice in overseas volunteering. More information can be found here. As an individual researching opportunities, if an organisation is signed up to the code you can see what they are committed to working towards and you can ask them how they are getting on in implementing these good practice principles.
