What does the Programme involve?

Training and Preparation (Feb - June):
Including preparation weekends (teaching skills, language, project management, Health & Safety), and full support while you fundraise the participation fee (an experienced fundraising mentor per team, materials, resources, training and more..)

Overseas Work Placement (June – Aug): a 10 week placement working for a Partner Schools in India or Kenya. Volunteers work primarily as teaching assistants but also engage in various other activities including research, curriculum development, & IT support. The Programme also involves a unique opportunity to learn about Development through on-going NGO visits and a week of in-country workshops facilitated by the UN.

Return and Closeout (Aug - Oct): A debriefing weekend in October gives Volunteer teams a chance to talk about their experience, to celebrate their achievements, and to look forwards and ask what’s next?
