The Country Director is the head in a chain of command in The Umbrella Foundation Nepal office. They have overall
responsibility of the team in Nepal and must oversee the planning, implementing, monitoring and reporting of all TUF’s
operation in Nepal, ensuring that the desired standards of care are upheld, while also ensuring that all international
partners and donors are kept fully informed. All aspects of financial management fall under the duties of the CD, as the
primary role of TUF is a funding body to the local implementing NGO. The CD will also be involved at the strategic
decision-making level of the NGO.

The Global Awareness Programme is an exciting training, volunteering and awareness raising project focusing on HIV/AIDS. Four people will be chosen to participate on the programme. Participants will: Attend training on HIV/AIDS issues in Ireland; Attend a training on Media Skills; Volunteer for 8 weeks in a HIV&AIDS organisation in South Africa or Nigeria; Plan and implement an awareness raising campaign around HIV&AIDS on their return to Ireland.

This short, informal event offers the opportunity to hear more about the issues you need to consider before making a decision about volunteering.

The Membership and Communications Project Officer will be responsible for promoting, supporting and engaging Comhlámh membership and for implementing communications strategies in Comhlámh (particularly online communications). The VDW Information and General Administrator role is a full time position based in Comhlámh’s office in Dublin. The purpose of this role will be to administer the Volunteer Development Workers PRSI and Pension Scheme and to provide information and support to returning volunteers and development workers. The post will also support the Finance and Administration Manager in co-ordinating Comhlámh’s administrative and financial management. The VDW Information and General Administrator will report to relevant Programme Managers and will also involve working as part of a team.
