Irish Aid is hosting an Overseas Volunteering Fair in Limerick City Hall, Merchant’s Quay, Limerick on Friday 18th February. The Volunteering Fair will run from 11am to 4pm including information stands from over 20 volunteering organisations. There will be presentations from participating organisations every half hour starting at 11am. EIL Intercultural Learning invites applications for its 2011 Global Awareness Programme scholarship.
The Global Awareness Programme is an exciting training, volunteering and awareness raising project focussing on HIV/AIDS.

This issus encourages educators and those involved in sending volunteers overseas to reflect on how development education could suport volunteers to learn more while overseas, reflect on their experience and identify ways to challenge the causes of inequality hrough their lives.

Camara Education is currently recruiting volunteers for four and five week assingments in East Africa, departing early or late July (depending on assignments).  They are lookin for enthusiastic people with a background in either Teaching/Lecturing/Training or Computing.  All training is provided in Dublin, mostly on Saturdays.  You will be part of a team of 5 to 8 individuals, and working closely with their team of local partners.  Gain a unique insight into African life. For full details, please contact Frank, T 01 652 2668, E frank@camara.ie
