Comhlámh seeks Project Officer to work on the Engaging Global Volunteers to Action Project. This new 3 year EU funded project, complements the work of Comhlámh’s Volunteering Options & Development Worker’s (VODW) Programme and Development Education (DE) Programme. The project’s objective is to empower returned EU global volunteers in Ireland, Germany and Poland to act as development education multipliers in awareness raising and action in support of the Millennium Development Goals. The project involves direct work with volunteers as well as capacity building of sending organisations and relationship building with strategic networks to achieve this aim. The Project Officer will be based in Comhlámh’s Dublin office and will report to the Programme Manager of the Volunteering Options and Development Workers (VODW) Programme. The main role of the Project Officer will be to support organisations in implementing Comhlámh’s Code of Good Practice for Volunteer Sending Organisations. The post will also involve working as part of a team and feeding into the work of the VODW Programme and Comhlámh in the implementation of our strategic and operational plans.
