We are looking for volunteers to work in our Therapy Centre for children and young people with disabilities
In a Shanty town in Lima, No particular skills are required, just the desire to help these “special “children and young people have a better quality of life.
Duties will include: Reading with the children, painting, and drawing, doing puzzles, playing games, assisting the staff when the children and young people go on outings.
Volunteers with a Medical or Therapy background especially welcome.
Accommodation can be arranged in certain circumstances.

The Volunteer Unit of Irish Aid has agreed to fund five experienced Irish candidates with the United Nations Volunteer (UNV) programme. These placements are part of the ongoing Irish Aid-UNV partnership programme to promote international volunteering in overseas development. While the UNV has a register of interested Irish individuals, it has requested additional CVs from Irish individuals who would be interested in working as an Irish Aid funded UNV volunteer overseas. Camara Short Term Opportunities in Africa: In July and August 2010 Camara will be sending volunteers to teach in our EDU-Labs and schools across Africa. Volunteers will teach courses in PC maintenance, networking, web design, how to teach ICT, pedagogy of ICT, software applications and introduce Moodle administration (a virtual learning environment) over a four week period.
