The appointments are run by Comhlámh staff. They run for 20 minutes and take place in the Irish Aid Volunteer Centre on O’Connell Street. It is expected that those attending the sessions will have started researching options and have questions that they would like answered. Given the personal nature of searching for volunteer opportunities & the various needs of individuals Comhlámh will not act as a matching service. However, we will do our best to direct you to sources of information, advise you about best practice, and support you in all the different issues you need to consider when making an informed decision about volunteering. We can also provide you with other information related to Comhlámh activities.

The weekend is facilitated by fellow returned development workers and professionals.
Past participants have described their sentiments in one word at the end of the weekends as "energised, enthused, focused, comforted, supported, encouraged, refreshed, relaxed, enlightened, relieved, motivated, optimistic, positive and empowered".
