Do you have a week to spare this Christmas to join an amazing project and use your skills to help bring laughter and learning to the children from the slums of Kibera? Agape Adventures teams work with local staff to provide children with support, education, fun and encouragement. Bring joy and hope to these young lives, restoring some of what has been lost through disease and poverty. Agape will be running a week long Pre-Christmas camp for the children of their school where there'll be singing, making crafts, playing games and doing a little DIY in the school along the way!

Next team trip: December 8th 2012. (Other dates available)._

Kibera is the largest urban slum in Africa with more than 1 million inhabitants. HIV/AIDS is a major problem amongst both adults and children, and as a direct result of the poor living conditions - open sewers and infected water - many other illnesses such as cholera, typhoid and malaria are commonplace. Desperation drives people to prostitution, alcohol/drug abuse, violence, crime or simply to abandon their family. It is a place of immense need, and yet with the help of projects like this, it is also a place of hope.

Agape teams live with local families and support the staff in the school / social care work. No matter what your skills - even if you think you don't have any! -Agape would love to welcome you on to their team to make a united impact on the project here. As long as you have enthusiasm, you're willing to get stuck in and help, and you've an open heart to experience life in this amazing place.

Cost includes: Accommodation, Food, Training, and 24/7 Support  as well as a project donation to the ongoing work.

Start date: December 8th 2012.

Cost: €580.
